If you happen to own a swimming pool, you know how much fun it can be, but they’re also a lot of work. Here are some easy ideas for you.
1. If your pool skimmer gets a hole in it, slip the leg of an old pair of stockings over the frame. This easy makeshift skimmer will hold until you can get a new one. You may decide that you like it better because you can change the netting easily and inexpensively anytime!
2. Pour a couple of boxes (baking soda) into water each week, and you’ll have sparkling clean water all the time.
3. Towels all over the pool deck can be dangerous, plus they don’t dry that way. Pick up an inexpensive drying rack. Set it up on the deck and you have a handy place to hang those towels out of the way.
4. If you have small kids then it is a good idea to set up a kiddie pool near the main pool so you can watch older kids swim and have younger ones right with you. Before you fill that little pool, put some non-slip bathtub stickers on the bottom to help prevent your child from slipping.
